ABOUT US

Notre Dame Alumni Foundation Mandate

To receive gifts and bequest for distribution to the Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese for the benefit of Notre Dame Regional Secondary School, a member school, its successor, or successors.

Notre Dame Alumni Foundation (NDAF) is proud to be a strong supporter of Notre Dame Regional Secondary School. Incorporated under the Society Act of the Province of British Columbia on June 12, 2003, NDAF is tax-exempt as a registered charity and public foundation under the Income Tax Act. The Foundation was created by ND Alumni who anticipated the need to replace ageing buildings and support students in the pursuit of excellence. To date, the Foundation has contributed $1,250,000 towards these needs.

Through fundraising initiatives, the NDAF has witnessed tremendous growth these past few years. In 2017 the Foundation was able additionally to establish a Bursary Program in support of students in need of financial assistance. We are grateful for the generous support from Alumnus Vince & Nick Zuccaro who donated $50,000 to set up the John Brassington Endowment Fund to provide financial support to worthy students who otherwise would not be able to attend Notre Dame. This fund allows those who have the financial means to truly make a difference in the lives of others who are less fortunate.

There are many hard-working individuals who magnanimously give their time and talents to ensure the success of the many events that contribute to our fundraising initiatives. Our sincere gratitude is extended to all these caring individuals. We also thank all stakeholders who have made this school what it is today through their generosity, most importantly the Archdiocese of Vancouver and our feeder parishes which, under the leadership of their pastors, initially provided the financing that allowed Phase 1 to become a reality. Finally, we recognize the students, parents, administration, and staff who provide us with the motivation to fulfill this mandate.

Your continued and ongoing support is greatly needed as we witness the completion of the final phase encompassing the much-needed field, parking sites and landscaping of the property. This completes the campus as the final addition to the existing Fr. Joe Ponti Academic Wing (2010) and the East Wing connecting the Gymnasium & Theatre (2015). All donations from Welcome Home Campaign go directly to these capital costs and will be followed up with a tax receipt issued by the NDAF or the Chimp Impact Foundation that processes your donation. We invite you to make a difference by supporting the various sponsorship programs posted on our donation link that will provide for the needs of the students at Notre Dame.  Donations can be made HERE on this page or by emailing our Development Coordinator Joe Garcea at jgarcea@myndrs.com.
